Our flagship publication is the reference document for a comprehensive analysis of the global, regional and country-level acute food insecurity. The result of a collaborative effort among 16 partners to achieve a consensus-based assessment of acute food insecurity, the report aims to inform humanitarian and development action by providing independent and consensus-based evidence and analysis.
The report analyzes the drivers of acute food insecurity (conflicts, economic shocks, and weather extremes), and offers an analysis at the global, regional, and country levels.
The Senior Committee provides strategic guidance and endorse the GRFC, which is produced by the FSIN Secretariat with the technical guidance and expertise of the Technical Working Groups, that support the development, drafting and finalization of the Global Report on Food Crises and associated products through the generation, validation and revision of data and analysis.
The Senior Committee consists of senior food security and nutrition practitioners committed to support the design, technical standards, and validation of the Global Report on Food Crises and related products through the endorsement of the scope, data inclusion, methodologies and guidance on technical challenges.
